Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed as a pioneer in the field of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in legal settings. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer, has won many awards and grants. She has offered consulting on research and policy to many agencies and departments from all over the world. She is currently a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She holds memberships in many professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
